headers

Looking to add LT headers to my 97ss. I already have a Borla cat back. Not sure what brand to go with. I have heard that hookers do not seal well and give leaks. Has anyone heard of or used the SLP headers that are supposed to produce 100hp. Sounds a little outrageous to me. Planning on going with high flow cats instead of removing or gutting them, but I have heard that I will have to relocate my cats if using LT's. I am definatly going with ceramic coating. Would header wrap tape help or hinder if the headers are ceramic coated Also any info on good brands of spark plug wire heat wraps to protect them.

Never had a problem with my Hookers 100hp,no way.Maybe 20.Yes the cats have to be moved.Header wrap will ruin your headers fast, they will get too hot. Also it is a fire hazard.Look into the Jet Hots, they are a copy of Hookers.Click on the Vendor index and you will find them.

Hehe, Go with hooker Long tubes and youll be fine. Ive NEVER heard of getting 100hp out of a set of headers especially out of slp shorties. Most long tubes average about 20-30hp gains when installed. Good luck
