headers

i'm looking to buy some headers for my 1996 Trans Am ( dual cat, of course ). i'm not sure what to buy or where to look...

i'm leaning towards getting some MAC mid-length w/ off-road y-pipe... but i can't find a site that has them for sale at a good price.

i'll consider getting anything... long tubes definitely, mid-lengths definitely... and i'll even consider shorties, even tho i haven't heard too many good things about them. but i want to find some good headers at a good price... so if anyone knows where to look or can help me out, let me know. thanx.

Get LT's if u dont have to take the emmisions.
But if u choose MAC, they are good shorties.

i know www.ls1speed.com carries them as well...

While placing your order for the Headers... Make sure you make another order for the Thunder Racing Over the Valve Cover Plug wire set...

Its 100 bucks and oh so worth the effort... My wires burnt (With Hooker shorties and jet hot coating) even with the earls flame wrap in about three weeks.

The OTVC kit might look a little different, but well worth the lack of head aches.

Take a look at JetHot's LT's...$513.00 to your door gets you both AIR Injector fittings, EGR and 02 Bungs prewelded on and JetHot coated. Just finished mine and I love em.

holy ****, that's not bad at all. with the coating and all... jeez. on ls1speed.com i found those MAC's for sale for $499.99 plus shipping. i can't believe jet-hot actually sells LT's cheaper than someone sells MAC's. is that a special deal, or is it just the regular price?

Keep in mind that you will need a Mufflex Y-pipe for those headers or a custom y-pipe made. The Mufflex Y is generally around 250$ without o2 bungs. However, TByrne is doing a Group Purchase for them (with o2 bungs) right now. http://www.tbyrnemotorsports.com/
