Header Question...NEED HELP QUICK!!!
I need to know if the 94-95 style mac headers and y pipe will bolt directly on to 94-95 style catback with no modification. THis is for a 97 camaro. The way it looks the I-pipe will be short about a foot. What can I do??? THanks/
You did not mention what Cat back your are using, it might make a difference.
What I did was install Mac shorty's and Y-pipe. Connected to a single cat. then used a 3" mandrel bent "S" pipe to center the pipe on an Flowmaster American Thunder , single on the left tailpipe.
If I understand what you are asking, You are refering to the "S" pipe to connect the two. If you seem to be a foot short and a foot off to the side then you need the "S" pipe. I think I got it at Jegs for about $45.00.
Good Luck.. Weja
Edit:
Sorry, Saw in your SIG your installing Hooker Cat back. Not sure about that one.

Hey there,
I'm going to be running 94-95 single cat MAC headers, Mac offroad pipe, and a 94-95 style Borla catback on my 97. From what I've heard, everything should work perfectly. However, if you do plan on running an off-road pipe, you'll need o2sims or get your computer re-programmed and have the rear 02sensors deleted.
You shouldn't need an s-pipe if the headers and cat-back are both designed for a 94-95 single cat application. Just get yourself an off-road pipe.

CDN is Right. I have a 95' Calif car. Original dual cat set up. I started with a Flowmaster catback for that application then went with the 94/95 single cat headers, thus the "S" pipe. Hope this does not confuse. Weja
