Header Question?

I am debating on whether to get the Kooks or a hooker/pacesetter headers. I am wondering if eventually the coated actually get holes rusted through them or is it just surface rust? I dont drive my TA in the winter so salt wont be an issue. I don't feel like spending 1000 on headers but I dont want holes rusted through my headers. I dont care if it is just surface rust as long as I dont have to replace them. I know there are many threads about headers but I couldn't find out if people actually had holes rust through the headers? Thanks for the help.

I have a set of coated pacesetters on my car for little over a year and some odd months. I don't drive it in the salt but does get drove in the rain sometimes. The coating on mine has came off on the bottom and only has surface rust on them and the top looks like they only been on there for a week.

Go with the best you can afford, but for the price difference the pacesetters are the way to.

I wouldn't worry about it, it will just be surface rust and they should stay intact for a long time, much like the stock manifolds.

just if u see any discoloration on the headers, wipe them down with a clean rag. If u do that to the coating quite often, they will NEVER rust

Ya, i just figured stock manifolds were thicker therefore thats why they dont rust through. I'll probably end up getting the pacesetters, thanks for the help.
