header question?

I know i could do a search on this but i thought i'd ask first.
Can anyone tell me what the best fitting shorty headers are for a 95 Z28?
I have to take out my Y pipe and i figured it might be good to think about headers but i want the shorty's and i'm using stock Y pipe(gutted cats)
So if you guys could give me your thoughts on wich one would fit the best with the stock Y pipe that would be great!!!!Thanks

Re: header question?

Kind of a waste to go through the hassle of doing shorties and then keeping the stock y?

Do Longtubes and ORY!!!!

Re: header question?

LT's, preferably Jet hot's. Don't waste your time with shorties. If you really want them, lots of people would be glad to take their shorties off of their car in favor of some LT's (except california, ect.)

Re: header question?

get the mac mids if you don't want lt's. They come with the y-pipe and they fit very good. No loss of clearance

Re: header question?

Well thanks guys but i'm not sure what to do cause i didn't want to spend alot of $ plus i wanted to keep the y pipe so at least it looks like i have cats and i know there is y pipes with high flow cats but it aint cheap. So what you guys are telling me is not to bother with the shorties and keep the stock manifolds or just go LT's? Thanks again

Re: header question?

The stock Y pipe is a huge restriction, when you take it of you will see how kinked and small it is. What are the laws in your area? Do they do a visual inspection, or put your car on rollers and do a sniffer test?
