header install, now ABS INOP light on

I installed Pacesetter mids on my 94 Formula, and as soon as I turned the key in the ignition the ABS INOP light turned on in the dash. I must have bumped a wire when I was down there...any ideas on where to start looking?

I remember reading something about headers causing the ABS light to come on because of the spark plug wires being too close to the ABS wiring.

Its possible you may have dislodged something, but it is also possible that your abs wheel speed sensor harness could have been burned by coming in contact with the header. I would get under there and check everything out.

There is a pair of wires that run from the PCM harness along the passenger frame rail down to the passenger side wheel speed sensor. I toasted mine when I installed my Pacesetters. They just need to be re-routed away from the header so they don't melt again.

yah, the thing is though, that the light was on as soon as I turned the car on. So nothing had time to get hot yet. Hopefully it doesn't rain today so I can get under the car and check it out.

mine did that for a day or 2 randomly, then it went away. It was weird.

funny the same thing happened to me on my short tube install. I have checked repeatedly for burnt wires, and found nothing. My buddy said that sometimes the actual sensors by the rotors, can get dirty and cause the light to come on. I have really had some bad luck with my wiring on my car.

It may just be a coincidence that one of your wheel speed sensors went bad at the same time, but i would check continuity on those wires. Mine melted real fast, but my headers aren't coated.
