If the Percy's gaskets aren't sealing, you must have a warped header flang.

I would pull that header back off. pacesettrers are cheap for a reason....the quality control is somewhat low. I think there is something wrong with the flange. Maybe warpes, might have some slag etc. causing it not to seal. Should be simple to find once its off.

I ran into problems with pacesetters and tried the copper on both side, it never worked, never had luck with percys on anything either......Pepboys had some really thinck regular style (paper type) headers gaskets I tried once...they held up a long time under some warped pacesetters

put a straight edge on the flange. have the heads been ported? has someone hogged them out so the gasket does not line up?

Damn sorry to hear that the gasket didnt work. Have you put a straight edge to the header yet?

Also I know this sounds ghetto, but what about doubling up gaskets? Or maybe just for the middle ports. (take a good gasket and cut off left and right sides leaving bolt holes for middle ports, and stack this part to another full gasket)

If it were me I would (after verifying warped header)
A. have the header exchanged by pacesetter.
B. have a shop mill it till flat.

What would decide is the shipping/turnaround cost for the header with pacesetter.

It would have to be 2 of the felpro style gasket material to work I would guess. I am just chunkin ideas out there. I would pull it out and check it over and correct it or send it back.

You dont want to put off what your going to have to deal with anyways. (it would suck to have to correct for that in the future, or always be fighting a leaking gasket) I hate exhaust leaks, they really screw up performance/fuel economy.

My pacesetter mids flange was worped!!! I had to take them to a machine shop and have them sanded flat with a belt sander. Next set will be Hooker. You pay for what you get. Good luck!!!
