Header Bolt Concerns

OK...so I'm one of those people that hates to think something isn't perfect, and over time it bothers me unless the issue is resolved 100% in my mind. That said, a few moths back I installed headers and haven't had time to drive it for more than a few hours before I went back to college. Since then, I have been wondering a few things:

On the drivers side, I used RTV with Felpros, BUT the RTV had a good 30 mins to begin to dry before I got it on. For some reason the Felpro for one side was missing the extra "half-loop" to hold it in palce, so I had to wrestle with it for a while. In the process I got RTV on the headers, valve covers and some other stuff - its all off the headers now, but is there any safe meathod of removing the RTV from headers without hurting the coating? Also, is the seal fine (leak free so far) despite having some time to begin to dry?

Finally, I know the drivers side is, but when I tightened up the passenger side header I cannot remember if I started from the inside bolts, and worked my way toward the bolts in the front/rear (inside out) - should I not worry about warped flanges and leave them and retighten them inside out as the header loosens for the first couple months, or should I go ahead and loosen it now - does it really matter which I do?

Thanks!

I think you are worrying about things unnecessarily. If you have no leaks then the seal is fine. I wouldn't worry about warped flanges either. If it aint broke don't fix it.
