Head swap help

Alright, so I'm swapping out my old heads for the new ones that I'm having resurfaced. This is my first voyage into the fun of tearing down my car this far, and I'm just wondering if if anyone can give me the link to step be step instructions for doing this? got the alternator off, just noticed the power steering and a bunch of other thing's are still in the way.

Thx ahead of time,
- Greg

lol for one thing make sure to get new head bolts! never re use head bolts on the lt1...arp makes the kit for 100bucks and its deff. worth it.. also run to autozone and grab a haynes service manual its a good thing to have

Probably all I'll end up grabbing is a book come to think of it. And am picking up the bolts after I get the heads resurfaced. This is only meant to be a temporary solution until I have the cash to do what I want, but I still want it to last awhile. =)

thanks man

A Chiltons Manual will help you tremendously.

Yeah get a chiltons or haynes manual first and read it over seeing all the parts you will need this book it will have everything you need. Depending on miles you might want to take a look at the lifters, timing chain and sprockets, and make sure you buy all the gaskets ahead of time. New head bolts is a must as mentioned earlier, and a good tool set. Good luck and if you follow the instructions this can be done in a day for a beginner. Dont hurry it though take a couple days if necessary.
