Post head question

I have a set of stock Lt1 heads and I want to send them to the machine shop and have them cut for bigger valves and ported but my questions are what are the biggest valves that i can have installed in these heads and what would be a good cam to swap in with these? I was thinking from a cc306 to cc503 but any sugestions will be great. Now that all of that is said and done any ideas of horse power with the h/c swap and the mods in my sig? Thanks for all the help!

I've done some research here recently on valves and from what I found
2.0 intake 1.56 exhaust are the biggest you want to go on stock heads and seats. You can run 2.02/1.60 but they are really too big for stock LT1 seats to support, you really need to have new seats installed to use them. I'm going with Manley 2.0/1.56, ordering them from Summit now. My stock valves were pretty beat up and a few bent after a few years of...umm, abuse

Yep, he can take care of all your headwork, and set you up with a good cam. And his stuff has proven results.

Not trying to be an ***, but if you knew how, you would know that you need a machine shop to install bigger seats and cut for larger valves.....

Thing is blindly installing big vlves in a basically stock head is not going to be particularly worthwhile. I would sooner spend the money on mild porting and reusing stock valves.

That would make more sense, wouldn't it.
