Hi, I drive a 1995 z28 and my head gaskets are blown. I have never changed out the head gaskets before, and I was wondering if anyone has a guide for it? I would appreciate any advice.

Just take your time & you'll be fine I never knew but when I swapped out my heads for a ported set, I found a blown head gasket too well it was just beggining to go through, the ring had a split in the center of it.

 

When I take my heads off I might wanta get them ported and polished. I found a set of LT1 heads that have been ported and polished with 33k miles on them for $700 Is that a good deal?

I really don't have any idea how much it costs to get your heads ported and polished.
