Head Gasket Stuff

Well my PS head gasket is definietly leaking, so i am now going to replace both sides. Should I use Felpro 1074's? Bump my compression a bit? Also will these head bolts work? http://store.summitracing.com/partde...1&autoview=sku Will I have to retorque them? Are they cheaper on any other sites?

Do i need sealant for these bolts?

What can i do to ensure it won't leak again? I really dont want to have to do this a third time. Please give me some tips.

on my stock bottom end i remember using a gasket just smaller than an impy gasket. maybe it was by mr gasket. you need to use sealant on all bolts threading into the water jacket.

Just coat all the bolts with thread sealant.

Im a real fan of copper spray-a-gasket, the trick is to hang the gasket up and coat both sides evenly a full 24 hours before install... then its not so messy. If your not having the heads resurfaced, i would not recomend the thin "mr gasket" head gasket. If you have no warpage (head or block) the thinner head gasket is like "free" power while youre in there. It will bump the compression higher than you think. If your planning on running 87 octane use the felpros or real gm gaskets just to be safe. I hope it seals up for ya

Victor Reinz head gaskets installed dry, ARP head bolts, and Permatex #2 thread sealant. Also get the heads checked for warpage.
