I am getting my haed gaskets changed soon, but my car has been sitting outside for 8 months. Will I have to fix any other things not on the haeds because the car has been sitting so long?

Also when I get my heads rebuilt is there anything inexpensive I could do to increase hp??

 

I doubt you'll have to do anything else to the car since it's been sitting for 8months. As far as inexpensive things to do, you could put some new race vavles in or something but that still gonna cost you a little bit, and without any porting I dont know how much they will really help. When puting the heads back on you could use the Impala head gaskets which are slightly thinner than our stock gaskets. This will cause the compression to bump up a little bit.
