im doing my intake as we speak and its not to bad, but going down to the heads, thats a different story, but if you have a couple of buddies that know a little about cars go for it, 2 or 3 heads always a plus

"how tough" is a relative term. There's really not a whole lot to worry about. I would get new head bolts to use. The intake comes off. The only snags may be the coolant crossover pipe on the rear of the heads. I had a friend help so that I could remove both heads at the same time and then removed the corssover pipe with the heads on the bench. Exhaust bolts may also be a problem, although the worst that happens is a manifold bolt snaps off in the head... since you're removing the heads anyway that's not a huge deal. Make sure the block deck is cleaned smooth, make sure to use a good torque wrench to button things down. I would also check the decks of the cylinder head for flatness.

In the end it really isn't all that difficult of a job, IMO. Just remove parts and reinstall

I am toward the end of the project right now. You will need metric and SAE deep and short sockets with extensions and universal joints, metric and SAE crescent wrenches. You will also need a shop vacuum to remove any debris that happens to fall into the engine on disassembly, a torque wrench that reads inch/lbs, and a torque to angle gauge. The hardest part will be removing the passenger side exhaust manifold. Everything else is pretty straightforeward. Plan on an entire weekend to do the change for both heads.

Ummm... How much did those metric and SAE crescent wrenches set you back?
