I need to know the compressed height of some gaskets. I currently have FelPro Part number 9966pt which is the gasket felpro lists for both the Z's and the Imp's. I found in the archives that Imps have a compressed height of .029". But I don't know what part number I should be looking for. I can't find any info on the 9966pt gaskets and they measure thick like .045"+.

Does anyone have the part number of the exact Imp replacement gasket?

The Impala gaskets are indeed .029. For the part number, just do a search for "impala head gasket", there are several posts about the part number.

The Felpro LT1 gasket is sort of a Generic gasket for all LT1s. Its roughly the same thickness as the F-body gasket, no where near as thin as the GM Impy gasket. I don't have exact number for you on that one but again, a search is going to be your best bet.

 

I believe the Impala SS head gasket is part #12553160.

Impy gasket is .029" compressed, Felpro is .039" and stock LT1 is .049".
