Head and cam install/117k with front seal leak

I have a 94 Z28, with 117k and an oil leak from the front crank seal. Is it worth fixing the leak and putting on the new heads and cam, or does this sound like a mandatory shortblock install? If it will hold up I'd just fix what I have but if this sounds like the end I'll do the shortblock. I know the hardcore guys will say just do the shortblock, but if I can, I'd like to wait until I can afford a 383 if it's totally necessary. Thanx for the advice!!!!

If you get that far into it changing the heads/cam, it's not all that hard to throw in a new seal.

I just installed heads and cam at 138k miles. My cylinder walls looked like they were from a new motor. So you will probably be fine. A lot depends on how well you've took care of the car. Like frequent oil changes, etc.
