Hi,

Does anyone have experience with a Hawks Racing underdrive pulley? I see that they have some for sale on ebay, and they are only like $50, that's quite a bit less than, say the SLP or BBK ones.

Also, are the underdrive pulleys a worthwhile mod? It's either this or an electric water pump right now.

Another question, anyone buy one of those SBC water pumps? Are they as good as Meziere or CSI?

 

I think the general consensus on underdrive pulleys is they aren't really worth it and sometimes you end up having charging problems due to the smaller pulley on the alternator. And I think a SBC water pump is refering to a Small Block Chevy waterpump which we can't use on our LT1's either that or SBC is a brand I'm nto familiar with. Do a search on the CSI and meziere water pumps and you'll get alot of different opinions on each.
