Have we come to the conclusion that the air gap intake is a dud?

What tweaks did yours need? Mine bolted right up without any problems.

I like the home made intake more than the Edelbrock.
Notice his only gained 1 mph as well.
It seems something "outside the box" is needed to get a front mounted tb to make power like an old school single plane with a 4 barrel carb.

Looks like one of the only benefits to that manifold would be more meat to port...though probably not much. Widening the runners would be easy with the open access but cant tell from the pics how much weld you could get in behind the injectors. Maybe a little more with an LS1 style injector?

LS1's and LT1's use the same injectors.

They can work for either/or. The LS1 injectors have a slimmer body but are rated for a different fuel pressure.

Hence, they are not the same.

Not to butt in, but I would have to agree with all of you...

Stock for stock LS1 injectors are different from LT1, hell LT1 injectors were different from year to year too... But the same aftermarket injectors work in either application and if you are at the level of swapping an intake on and LT1 you are more then likely to be doing H/C as well and would not be looking to go with a stock size injector even the LS1...

My .02, take it for what it's worth...

I'll keep everyone posted on how well mine does on my boosted motor (expecting Big numbers)
Lloyd worked over my Edelbrock, here's a few pics

If I was doing a intake/Heads/Cam setup I would opt for an Edelbrock IMO.

He said this to my inquiry about his ported LT1 intake for my LT4 heads:

"LT4 heads will require an LT4 intake. the intake I have is an LT1 intake.

The edelbrock LT4 is almost as good as a ported LT4 intake from me but a ported Edelbrock intake is even better.

Lloyd"

Thats the info Lloyd told me, I had my intake shipped directly to Lloyd. Mine was the first one he had ever did, and to my knowledge he hasn't got a chance to work on another one (about 2 months ago though)

Based on what real world results?
The only other real world results I have witnessed was a stock LT4 Edlebrock on a D1SC blower car that did close to 800RWHP.
Not many people have the Edelbrock intakes yet, much less a ported one.
