Hat off to Combination Motorsports
Hat off to Combination Motorsports
Ordered a head and cam gasket set and when delivered it was missing the intake and exhaust gaskets. I called and informed them and with no questions other than was I missing any of the other gaskets, they sent out what was missing. Everyone can make an error but not everyone will make it right with no questions and then send it 3 day delivery. Then I needed some comp lifters and let them know that another vendor had them $25.00 cheaper than them and they met the other price and took off another dollar for good measure. Top shelf IMO!!!

They can get away with doing that. I called last week in regards to possibly having them build me a crate engine. Their crate engines start at $8500!

I agree. Combination Motorsports took car of me with everything that I needed for my cam install, including a couple lengthy chat sessions on tips and advice. When I got everything together, I broke a valvespring, luckily not harming anything other than the spring and they sent me 4 new springs, overnighted to get me back up and running.
for Combination Motorsports.
I'll throw in a hell yeh to the CMS people.
Sam helped me with a logistical shipping issue to Canada, and they all knew their stuff.
I called once and a car was screaming on the dyno in the background... sweet sweet sound....

And who might this vendor be? I am going to need some soon.

Basically it was a baseline 350 with a mild cam and stage 1 heads. I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted which was why I was calling. Actually I know what I want, just a matter of what I can afford.
I'd love for Combination Motorsports to build my engine, it sounds like they stand behind their work. Right now it's just too much money.
I can attest to how much these guys are just "the s#it". About a year and a half ago when I was still living up in Reno I came down here to Vegas to visit some pals. While I was here, my rearend went kaboom. Sam and Seth let me store my car at their shop and work on my car and even helped out a TON, getting dirty so I could get home back to Reno. They didn't ask for a single penny.
I really still owe them big time for all the help and everything they have helped me with through out the years. Giving me advice on how to do things on my car when I just starting out. Offering advice and firsthand experience to guide me.
They stand behind all their products and strive to give you guys what you want.
I can not say a single bad thing about the guys that work at that shop. They are all great guys people I could trust with anything.

Well the 383 that they are building for me has an all forged bottem end, and has (IMO) nearly maxed out lt1 castings; the preliminary flow #'s that seth mentioned were very high.
I am looking for around 405-430 at the wheels with this engine, N/A ofcourse. The engine itself cost ~7.3K and barely reaches 8k with everything included (shipping, core charges, ect.). I just cant wait till i have the engine in the car. Sure i had other options for engine builders, but none had the reputation of CM. In the end it was between Nu-tec and CM; but i wanted an engine in a reasonable time frame without the possibility of headaches.
