Is it any good or am I better off spending $100 more for a GM part?

 

Is the 94 still non vented? Last time I bought a gm one from Jason it was only about $250.

I have had bad luck with accell and Autozone rebadge ones, I wouldn't really trust a summit either.

 

I'm replacing the Opti in my '95 soon. I ordered a Delphi Opti from "thepartsladi" on Ebay for $240 shipped. Others on this board have had a good experience with this seller.

I read the Summit Racing Opti is a re-branded Accel. When it comes to opti's I have read that it's best to get good quality replacements. As long as it's not a cheap knockoff you should be fine. Best bet would be a genuine AC Delco or Delphi replacement since the knockoff Opti's don't last very long.

 

Thanks guys. It has been awhile since I needed one since I switched to the LSx world 4 years ago, but now the GF's TA needs one. Prices seem to have gone up quite a bit, the dealers that we used to deal with on the forum are now charging over $100 more than they used to. I will pass on the Summit one, and I will try to find "thepartsladi" on eBay. Thanks again!

 

i dont have the summit opti but i did go with the jegs one...and so far no problems
