Has anyone removed the solenoids from pass side of intake?

There are to solenoids/relays on the passener side of the intake manifold. Both have hosed running to them. I believe they are for the canister purge. A small line runs from one to a small plastic line running inside the fuel line loom, while the other has a large line running to the TB.

Can these be safely removed? Do I really need them? I already have !EGR & !AIR.

Yeah, that goes to the canister. Here's a diagram from shoebox's website...

It opens/closes the connection between the two lines, letting the canister vapors go into the intake.

I'm not sure if the computer will set a code for the solenoid being unplugged, but I think I remember seeing a dianostic check in tunercat for that you could take off. You don't need it if you don't have to have it for emissions...
