Question Has anyone done this yet on here?

I was thinking about deleted half of my exhaust. Has anyone got the shorties on their car and have the y-pipe come off of the headers and a single muffler right after the cat with 1 turn down?
I guess you could say kinda like the slp exhaust but delete everything after the cat. Everyone running true duals are doing this, so can the guys running shorties do the same? Wouldnt it take off some weigh by not going over the rear axle and just have a single turn down right before the real axle?

I basically had that for 2 weeks while I was waiting for my catback to come. I was too loud and made the whole car vibrate on idle. the gf didn't like that. Too loud for the po-po round here.

I cut my exhaust after the cats. Sounded wonderful. Po-Pos dont notice unless you get on it. I actually had a cop at the airport ask me what kind of exhaust i had. I wasnt sure if he wanted to know because he cared or if he was gonna write me a ticket.

I know a couple guys that just welded up a 40 series blowmaster at the intermediate pipe and left it at that. sounds really good.
