Has anyone done a Ram air on left splash cover?

Sorry I don't have any pics but mine looks and probably performs better than any I've seen here. I used a marine vent cover for a scoop painting it black. It's got a smooth curve on back side. Its really meant to be used topside on a boat as a cover for air vents but makes a great scoop. Look for one in a boating/marine supply store. I got this idea from searching the web back in '95.
Secondly, I boxed in my K&N FPIK filter by creating a trapiziodal box out of plastic panels, rtv and reinforcing rod. It's not easy create a box that fits the space and wraps the filter. I hinged and attached the scoop to the bottom side so that I can with three screws pull out the K&N for cleaning. This box causes the scoop to actually ram air.
Thirdly, I moved the IAT sensor from the elbow to my air box. This made a big SOP difference when accelarating in hot weather from a stop light.
