Has anyone done this before?

A few of my friends with F-bodies keep telling me to take the rubber spacers that are at the top of the rear springs out to lower the backend about 1 inch. Has anyone done this before and are there any pros/cons of doing this?

It is no biggie! just make sure you wrap the spring coil with fuel hose or heater hose. I did this mod when I put the konis on. It has been about 5000 moles or so since I did this.

I ran without my spring isolator for a while when I was running stock springs with no problem. Like Rob said though, run a heater hose(5/8's size I believe) along the top coil to cut down on some vibrations.

I've done the same. Go to home depot or lowes for rubber tubing. It's cheaper than heater hose.
