Has anybody ever had an MSD 6A ignition box go bad?...
Re: Has anybody ever had an MSD 6A ignition box go bad?...
I've read posts about it before.
Usually the car just dies from what I hear, and they have to reroute the ignition around it to start up again. If your engine is misfiring because of the ignition box, I would think that a complete failure would be sure to follow.

I had one that would work for a few minutes and quit. After a few minutes it would work again for a few minutes and quit again. Sent it back to MSD. Has been working fine ever since.

Mine behaved just like shoebox described, I sent it back as well, but mine was like 7 years old so I had to pay 40$ for it to be fixed, which is alot better than 160$. Anyway its a trooper now (2 years)
