HARD starting, cant seem to find the source

Right before we found a blown head gasket...which has since been fixed, the car was starting hard, to the point I would have to pump the crap out of it to get it to fire. At first I thought it had to do with the idle air control, as I blocked off the hose I added to the TB intake to make it idle after the recent buildup. I adjusted the computer, and didnt need the helper tube/mod any longer. Well tonight, I removed the block on that and I still have the same problem. Any body have any ideas as to what it could be? It was professionally tuned at Detroit Speedworks, and everything was fine. Now 3 months later it suddenly is being a pain in the ***. I just dont get it. Ideas please.

Unfortunatly I have checked them all except one. I will recheck my fuel pressure tomorrow. That is always worth a look.

My '94 Z28 had the same problem until I replaced the O2 sensors. Damn, it's been a few years--forgot if it was 1 or 2.

Same problem I had, it was my fuel pump. The pressure would prime up to near 40psi then drop to 0 since the pump couldnt hold it. I recently replaced it and even with the CC306 it fires up instantly.

Mine used to take 2 tries to start, I took the TB off today cleaned it up real good and installed a new IAC and TPS and since I was in there I went ahead and did the TB coolant bypass. Starts up first try everytime now.
