Halting Acceleration and Ticking Under Load
Halting Acceleration and Ticking Under Load
I've been having an intermittent problem with my Z lately. Aggressively throttling up when the engine is in gear at 2-3k rpms occasionally causes a loud ticking noise from the engine bay and very jerky, halting acceleration that is way underpowered. Shifting to neutral and flooring it will not exhibit any problems, and down shifting will cause it to mostly or completely dissipate. The higher the load the worse the problem. Any ideas?
Plugs were just replaced recently so I assume they should be fine but I'll check it out.
I was really hoping no one would come in here and say opti... so much for that
I think I may have filled up with 89 octane last time, I know I've done it before and not had problems but I'll fill it up with 91 (hard to find 93 here) and see if it makes a difference.
