Hey fellas,
I'm waiting on Jet Hot's version of long tubes with cats and Y-pipe.
Before, I had my mind on some FLPs.
To make a long story short....I don't want to make the mistake of changing the exhaust note that I have now for the worst. I read somewhere that someone added long tubes and their exhaust became high pitched??!!
My car sounds badazz w/ the SLP shorties and GMMG. I want the additional power of longtubes but not at the price of getting an exhuast note that I don't like. Do you think LTs would be an improvement in sound quality with my set up.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I don't think your exhaust sound will change that much if you leave the cats on. It's when you remove the cats it gets kind of raspy. I only really noticed that my exhaust got louder inside the car after I added my long tubes, I couldn't tell much of a difference outside.

 

Listen to my vids in sig. Its just running through the Longtubes into a 3in y-pipe into a 3in cutout. Soon to be 2.5in h-pipe true dual setup.

you should be fine. it did change my exhaust tone a bit but it was for the better. i love the way my car sounds and i don't have cats.
