Guys with Jet Hot 2000 coating inside please.
Guys,
I had my Jet Hot Long Tubes installed about 1 month ago with the special 2000 coating from Jet Hot. This coating is supposed to withstand upto 2400 degrees unlike the sterling silver coating that only withstands upto 1300 degrees. I notice when I first had the headers installed. I could smell coating baking or settling in when I was inside the car but now its been a month later and I can still smell it when sitting in traffic. I was wondering how long did your coating smell last after you had your headers on your car.
Any input is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Claude

Man...Thanks for the response...I did not know it could last that long. Do you have the 2000 coating too or another one?
At least I have the satisfaction of knowing it will eventually go away.
Thx,
Claude

I have it in gray matte. I bought them used also, so I never got this effect. But the headers hold up great, and the coated looks awesome, even after being used and put on mine. I'm very happy with them.
