gutting my pass side cat
i've been under my car checking things out and i dont see how im going to be able to guy my normal looking cat under the passanger side. the pipes bent too much to get anything in there. i have a 97 SS, i just want to gut them for a while untill i get my LT's and off road y-pipe. anyone have pictures ?

Why do you want to gut your cats?? I would suggest just waiting until you do headers. Because you won't see much of a gain, and the time that you would take to gut it is just too much considering the increase in power.

You can't just gut your passenger side cat, well you can but there are two on a 97 (dual cat car) Gutting only one of them would likely cause more of a performace problem than a gain. You would have different backpressure on each side of the motor if you are leaving the driver side cat alone. I would just leave it alone until you do headers, it's a lot of work messing with the dual cat y and it's not worth any very minimal gain you may see from it.
