Don't gut your cat, it is worthless. Get an off-road pipe instead.

why not just get a straight pipe or a bullet muffler? save the cat for emmisions testing if you have them.

i have replied to this subject 3 times this week i think and my answer is still the same. Don't ditch your cat i felt no performance gain, and after driving around with all the noise, smell, and nasty popping, i just bought a cat to put back on my car.

where can i get an off road pipe? I love my loudmouth but i want LOUDER...i will be getting headers in a few weeks but i want to make it loud until then. Will it be worth it to get a off road pipe for now or just gut the cat for a few weeks?

well the exhaust shop just puts in a stright pipe in place of your cat. does your area have emmisions testing? if so then keep the cat aside and get a pipe welded in its place

I would for sure get the ORP instead of gutting it. Just go to an exhaust shop and they will weld in a straight pipe for you, mine cost $60.

That racecar sound of your car will be raspy as hell if you gut your cat. Just my .02.
