gunk in fuel
gunk in fuel
well when i changed out my fuel filter i blew through it and noticed that in the fuel pan there were white clouds that looked like spit and then real thick stuff that was more dense than the gasoline. is this normal or do i have gunk in my tank? wow it made a huge difference in acceleration with the new filter on
i wouldnt say really easy, it took me about 30 minutes. so if u have the time and it needs to be done, then do it. jack the car up. use the wrenches to untighten the filter. rpull the plastic tube from the back. u have to pich in these little things to make it come off, then pull the filter out of the bracket. replace and put everything back in. i blew out my old one and gunky **** came out. i think i have a ****ed up tank.
My shop teacher told me on our cars it's a good idea to replace the fuel filter's yearly. He says they always clog up and they're cheap and easy to replace. So that's what i do. As for the stuff in your tank I'm not sure I dropped my tank a couple of months ago to put in a racetronix fuel pump and my gas tank was spotless. Try some of that kmax fuel cleaner.
