The trickflow guideplates have the same valve spacing as the gmpp ones and they are only $15 for all 8 compared to $40 for the gmpp ones.

Can't say that I've ever seen a GM part that Summit had good prices on. List price on these is $4.00

Well, if lloyd says they work than that's pretty reassuring. However, cmotorsports also told me that all of the valvetrain components I ordered, "would work with my cam set up". I'm guessing I will have to take all the rockers back off and readjust them once I get the new guideplates in? Also, I wont have to recompress the springs since the locks and retainers are already installed correct?

I am one of those that wasn't/isn't aware of the different valve spacing. I am currently trying to figure out why the push rods on some cylinders are touching the aftermarket heads I put on my engine. Can you describe the "difference in valve spacing" for me? That may be my problem...

They are AFR 195cc LT4 heads on my old LT1 motor. There isn't a difference in valve spacing between LT1 and LT4 is there?

I just checked my receipt from 8/17/07 and the GMPP guideplates were $3.20
net and $4.00 list. As a comparison, the 12371042 lifter package is $269 list
and $215.20 net. Each dealer will be slightly different and there is also a
wholesale price, but I can only get the net price from my local dealer.

I just ordered the GMPP ones from a local dealer for $4.00 each. I got 3 of the 8 so far, and one of them wasn't hardened. FYI they are on backorder, and they are taking forever to get here because of the strike. Hopefully the rest will be hardened so I don't have to wait another week and a half.

You have enough money for those?
