guide plates

Hello everyone I'm installing 1.6 nsa roller rockers on my 96 lt1was wondering how to put the guide plates they have a lil movment do they go all the way up towards intake ordown towards exhaust or where any advise helps thanks in advanced

I put mine down toward the exhaust to gain all possible depth in the groove.

The one piece guide plates of various brands have a slightly larger stud hole so you can position the guide plate that allows the best (center) contact of the RR tip on valve stem end

IMHO for the LT1 AL heads the ISKY "adjustable" allow L/R & U/D movement of each PR for best alignment

as far as a answer for what is best, towards intake or exhaust....each motor is different which is why there is some "adjustment" provided by one piece with larger holes to allow that and even more with ones like ISKY or other "per valve" guide plate
