trying to get my injectors working right. Had the #2 ( easiest plug to unplug ... ) hooked up to a noid light and cranked the engine for about 5 seconds. It started very dim, then got bright, and then died and didnt light at all , all within about 5 seconds. I checked all the plugs with a volt meter and all are getting very close to 12 volts ... like say 11 and a half and that could just be from lack of well calibrated meters. I looked in my Haynes repair manual and it says that many fuel injection problems are due to a bad ground on the intake. Where is a ground on the intake? A while back i asked where all the grounds on a 95 LT1 are ( Thanks shoebox btw ... ) and hooked them all up. However i need to no where the one is for the intake ? I looked and havent figured it out yet and i didnt really want to start tearing through bundles of wires ...

There are not any grounds on the intake. There are some on the LH coil stud, that would be the closest. You can check them and any other grounds, just for grins. Voltage at the injector should be close to what your battery voltage is.

Does your noid light still work at all? From your description, it almost sounds like it was made for a lower voltage and burned out (got brighter and then did not light).

K thanks , i thought there wasnt any, but this retarded Haynes manual says there is a ground somewhere on the intake , i was like wtf ? ... And i checked the injector plugs with a volt meter and they all read about 11.75 , so it was probly 12 but the thing isnt calibrated correctly or something like that. At anyrate , im gonna check them tommorow with an Ohm Meter and make sure there isnt a break anywhere ...

As far as the Noid Lite , my cousin brought it down my house from his shop. It was the one for a GM he said, and hooked it up. It lit very dim for the first second, then flashed brighter a few times, then it died , this was in like 4 or 5 seconds of cranking ... He's out racing at Motordrome now , so im gunna give him a call later and see if him or any of the other mechanics up there have any idea what is wrong with the injectors ... Its highly possible that their clogged, cause it sat for 6 years possibly 7 with fuel in it. Any suggestions tho as to why the Noid would do that ? Also the car has plenty of fuel pressure , it was 45 at the Schrader ... I need some suggestions lol ... this is killin me, i cant wait to get this thing on the road

Called a Chevy Dealer and they suggested buying an universal ground strap ... Said to hook it up from the block to the frame ... or from the intake manifold to the frame ... However i thought the ground strap that ( Its about a foot and half maybe 2 feet long ) is connected to the coil and goes to the frame was enough ? ... Any suggestions ?
