Ground Clearence on Hooker LT's?
Ground Clearence on Hooker LT's?
Well as the subject says i want to know how much ground clearence will be lost with the installation of Hooker LT hedders? If possible it would be really useful if anyone has pictures of their Hooker LT install or any other pictures to show how much clearence is lost. Thx in advance
I saw pics somewhere that someone had on their non-lowered car and as I recall they could fit a coke can right underneath the lowest point on their headers--so you're looking in the neighborhood of about 5 inches.

good i was wondering if the the LTs would be too low or eat up ground clearance but looks like that wont be a problem since I wont be lowering my car or anything like that.

Hi,
I've got the shorty headers and lowering springs and I only have 2 5/8". Now if you add back the 1 1/2" from lowering that is still only 4 1/8" with shorty headers and I have heard LT's are slightly lower. Do not count on more than 4" if your car is not lowered.

Did a quick search and found someone with some pics of some Jet-Hot LT's which are very similar. (I think the Jet-Hot LT's have slightly better clearance.) This should help give you an idea:

(Edit: The previous link I posted did not work so this is the thread where I found the pics.)
