Ground clearance w/electric cut-out?
Ground clearance w/electric cut-out?
My cut out (non electric) is mounted right before the "over axle" pipe. To get an electric cut out to fit in this location, most people angle it upward/counterclockwise. However, this seems to reduce ground clearance:

For people who have an electric cut out mounted in this location, do you have any issues scraping, like on speed bumps and sharp ramps?
Also, I'm leaning towards a DMH, but the new revised McCord is supposedly pretty nice. Opinions?
Thanks.

How many revisions is McCord going to do before they get it right
I have the DMH and it ha spreformed flawlessly for over 3 years now. I have the Borla version and 2 friends have their cutouts mounted in the same location you are talking about. One lowered and the other not and they said they have never had a scraping or clearence problem. Good luck with your choice.

Personally I am going to go with the QTEC Electric Cut-out http://www.quicktimeperformance.com It's only like $139 for the Electric Piece, and like $169 with the cut-out itself. They are like the same as the DMH too.
Quick Time isnt even close to a DMH. One friend who now has a DMH had a QT. It had grease slopped on it to make it seal. WTF?????
When he sent it back they bad mouthed him and charged him a $40 restocking fee.
