I have a quick question. I have a 96 z28 and my clutch just went out. I bought a new SLP clutch, I'm wondering if I need to replace the flywheel also.

 

Youll want to take it to a machine shop and get it resurfaced, but unless its vibrating really bad its fine. But definitely get it resurfaced and make sure you spray brakleen on it ,and the pressure plate too,when you bolt it on the crank, and dont touch it after you spray it on, and also dont touch any other part of the clutch with your greasy hands.

 

I just had an SLP clutch set installed about three months ago. I just had the flywheels resurfaced. Everything is running great!

No need to get a new one...
