Got my LT1 block today..one question!!

Okay, I am ready to start my 383 motor and I got my new block in the mail today. I have one question though...this block that I got is from a 96 LT1 Impala SS and I noticed that the oil pressure sender is right by the oil filter, whereas on my car it is on the back of the intake. Is there a spot on the back of the Impala block to put a oil pressure sending unit??? I don't want to leave the sending unit by the filter because I think my headers will get in the way and cause problems, plus I have seen how easily those sending units break that are right off the filter (my friend broke two of them!!)

Any suggestions for me on this one??

Thanks

93s have their sending unit by the filter, I dont really hear of it causing any problems with headers or breaking.

Isn't there a plug behind the intake in the 'usual spot'?

I would sure think so.

Just swap the plug that is there to the side of the block.
