Got my car running, need advice on changing rear end

Hi guys,

Finnaly my car started a couple days ago with big help from my friend madwolf, who does very good programming. Engine sound lound with LT's open, but car still needs some work to be done. I need to change the rear end and fuel pump without cutting the tank. Maybe someone knows a link with good description of this kind of work. Did search on the board, but all I found was changing the fuel pump with cutting the tank. Also I am not sure about adjusting the 1.6 rr. I loosened one of the rockers too much, and there was a stream of oil coming from the top of the rocker (small hole were pushrod sits). When I tightened the rocker back down, the squirt of oil was gone. Is it normal to have oil squirting, or I need to tighten the rockers enough so there would be no oil.

Thanks for helping
Tomas

Well, changing the pump is not that bad. Just remove the PHB and pull the spring/loosen shock and
lca on pass side and the tank will come out. Pretty much get under and see what you need to loosen or remove to get it out.

The oil from the RR is normal. It's coming from the hole in the puch rod. DO NOT TIGHEN down too much or the lifter will get damaged.
