Got LT4 heads, WHAT CAM

I just purchased a pair of STOCK LT4 heads, my question is which cam should I go with. ( I will be running 1.6 RR's)
LT4 HC KIT
CC305
CC306
XE224/230
XE230/236

I have been told that XE cams have a flat Torque CURVE but make a little more HP than magnum cams (CC305, CC306)
But Magnum cams make great torque and HP.

Just give me some advice, BTW I am a A4 with 3:73's and a 3000 stall, Full exhaust, (pretty much the whole nine yards, lol)

Thanks guys

agreed.

or, if you wanna go with something smaller, get the 230/236 with huge lift (I think it's around .602/.622"), check

good luck man.

Do you have to worry about emissions? If not then I would go with one of te Comp Cam's, like the 230/236 or the cc306. Both of those would be the most radical and probably put out the most power.

If you have to worry about emissions then I would go for the XL 224/230 (.536/.544") It will push out more hp than the hotcam will.

Guys these are Stock LT4 heads, These cams have like a .600 lift
I was thinking that over heading it under caming it would be the best bet ( thats what GM did with the LS1's)
The CC305 cam with 1.6's has a .544 lift on it with a 220/230 duration. Give me your opinion and reason of having this big of a cam with LT4 heads. Stock LT4 heads flow almost Identical to LS1 heads, I believe on the Intake side they both flow 240-245ish and on the Exhaust 185-195.

lift is your friend

Ls1 heads > LT4 heads

stock LT4 heads aren't even close to "over heading" it.
why wouldn't you just port the LT1 heads instead fo getting stock LT4's

I have no emissions, and the car is my daily driver, just want more power (don't we all )
OH, lol LT4 heads are not a waste, there power potential is over 300CFM on the intake and even in stock form there awsome, saying LT4 heads are a waste is ignorance, IMHO

but if you dont port them, that potential is wasted. Ported LT1 heads > stock LT4 (well if done right)

they will also cost less

The reason I didn't get LT1 ported heads is b/c when I take my LT1 heads and intake off, I can send them to be ported while I am running my LT4 heads then I swap and send off my LT4 heads to be ported. (I am a person who likes to change stuff up alot)

I know lift is my friend
AND yea LT4 heads on a cc305 with a .544 lift is NOT exactly over heading it. I just don't want to get to big of a cam. That was my point

If you put in the LT4 Hot Cam you will probably regret putting it in there and eventually want to change to a cam that puts out more power. If you don't want a huge cam with a lot of lift, then go with either the 224/230, 230/236, or the cc305.

Hey TreySpeed why don't you stop being a post ***** and let it go. All you have posted on is "why didn't you port your heads...blah blah blah" Everyone knows that ported heads, no matter what heads, will be better than any stock form head.

I bought these LT4 heads for like $650 BRAND NEW from a Friend. MY intentions was I was going to get PORTED lt1 heads but for that price I don;t think any of us would have passed by it. There like 1200 from GM.
I am seriously thinking about going with the CC305 b/c it makes Great HP and TQ. The XE camshafts have a FLAT TQ and in my opinion thats not going to cut it.
