Got 32 code, replaced EGR valve, still get the same code?

I get 32 code on highway only, the EGR failure. So I replaced the EGR valve car ran great in city and on highway no engine light came on. It was like that for 3 days then I go on the highway again and I get the same code. What should I do now?

did you clear the codes? if so than its probably a bad egr solenoid.

to clear codes you i used my laptop and freescan. Or you can disconnect the neg battery cable for like 10 min.

I disconnected the negative battery terminal for like 2 days, also I don't have cats. Is it OK to drive it on the highway with engine light on, assuming that it sets off EGR code.

If your sure its the EGR code I would not worry about it.
I completely removed my EGR and blocked everything off, no codes and runs fine.
I would get it fixed as soon as you can but I don,t think it will hurt anything to drive it.
If you removed the cats I would block off the EGR and get rid of the AIR pump.

yeah wont hurt anything except gas mileage. Did you check all the tubing to and from the egr valve? I just bought some new tubing for like a dollar and replaced it all. Also did you make sure you plugged the electrical connector back into the solenoid?. And LAST but not least if you removed the vaccuum tubing from the solenoid, did you reinstall it correctly?

should be like this diagram

if their clogged with carbon it will throw a code. Also just wondering.. did you clean the port on the engine before you instaklled the valve and make sure there were no carbon deposits inside the whole? If all else fails you will probably need a new solenoid.

the guys at speedteck in hurst, (ft worth area) told me that if you replace the egr you could still get the same codes even with a new egr valve. They recomend deleting the egr completely.
