I'm running the GM Peformance 1.6 roller rockers that come with the Hot Cam kit and they work great. A brand i would recommend is Comp Cams. Make sure u get the self-alining so u don't have to hassle with guideplates.

I'd say go with Crane gold's. The GM ones that come with the hot cam kit are actually crane rockers so you might as well pay a bit more or even a bit less for the crane golds.

Also make sure to go with non self aligning rockers, IMO.

What is the good and bad part for self aligning and non self aligning. Why do you recommend one instead of the other. Because i was gonna go with comp cams pro mag self alignings.

i believe self-alining are just a little louder and create more valvetrain noise. Not 100% sure on this though. But I personally am fine with the valvetrain noise.

Self aligning make more noise, and in high RPM situation if something fails they could bend pushrods, bend valves and ruin valve springs since there is no guideplate holding them together.

Guideplates.

The only ones I've used (aside from stockers obviously) are the Comp 1.6 non sa pro mags. They do the job, no problems.

The thing I don't like about sa rockers is that they depend on the little ears/tabs/whatever to keep them and the push rod happy together. That's it. I get a little more peace of mind from the guide plates. Maybe it's just me and I'm pointlessly concerned.. dunno.

How much harder are the non-SA to install over the SA's? Also is it easier to do it with the car on or off?

The non SA arent hard at all to install. Just have to unscrew the rocker studs and place the guide plates under them. Other than that install is the same, but you also need hardened pushrods.

Everything is easier off the car, but doing it on the car isnt hard in anyway. Should be able to do the non SA in under 2 hours even if you have NO clue what you are doing. I can prolly do a set in 30 min or less.
