Good mods on a worn motor?

Alright, I've got a 94 LT1 with 133k on it. Completely stock except for hooker catback with a cutout before the axle. Obviously, next on the list a cold air intake... but after that, what? I'm going to college and I've got a toyota that I just bought for a daily driver, so this is going to be a long project. After an intake, I guess headers are next, and that pretty much covers it for basic bolt ons.

I guess my main question is about internal things, specifically a cam and roller rockers. Would they really be worth installing on a motor (that wasn't treated nicely before I got it) with 133k on it, or should I invest in other things until I get the time/money/know-how to rebuild the engine?

With that many miles and the knowledge that it was beat up I wouldn't recommend doing a cam unless you plan on doing a rebuild after you've spun a bearing.

Headers, tune, electric water pump, gears, and free mods are the way to go. The RR's could be done without too much concern with spinning a bearing vs a cam. Besides I'm sure your motor will thank you freshing up the valvetrain.

I agree, stick with bolt-ons. Do headers, the cold-air intake, and even a mail-order tune. With all of those mods, you should have a noticably quicker motor.
