Good mods besides Heads/Cam?

What are some good power adding mods that can be done to an engine besides heads/cam? No super or turbo chargers either. Something that can be added on while my engine gets rebuilt?

EDIT: I got LT headers already.

I would think that a cam (RR, better valves, ect.),heads, headers, and a bottom end rebuild are pretty much the whole engine.... besides various parts here and there. Electric waterpump could free up a few HP, or pullies. Bigger throttle body, ported intake might help a little too...... if you dont already have them, get gears....it will make you feel like you have alot more HP.

I have played with lt1 and ls1s and other cars and it comes down to this. Its not rocket science to make power. You can make a little power with cold air induction, underdrive, ported or bigger tb,catback, cutout, rockers. But to make any real power you have a few choices.
You can go Na..normally aspirated you can add heads, cam and headers ..you already have headers. You can stroke it and bore it bigger.

You can add nitrous..or supercharger or turbo system.Thats it.
No big secrets.

You can drop times though a lot by going to stall converter in auto cars and using drag radials like nittos or true drag tires at the strip. You can swap in lower gears in a manual car.Thats about it.
If you want 10 hp here or there you can do the little stuff. But don't expect to get real hp without the expensive stuff and as far as that goes nitrous is still the best bang for the buck out there.
