Re: good headers?...

yea they are a decent header, very popular among the board members, just get them ceramic coated and they look great. Use the search feature, theres plenty of info on them

Re: good headers?...

why cant i just paint them. i can paint headers so that they dont bubble. my dad did it on his car. its a lot of work but if the main reason for ceramic coating is to avoid bubbling paint and then rust, then should i just not even worry about ceramic coat. also are these headers emmisions legal or no?

Re: good headers?...

yea, you can get these headers with emmision hookups as well, just gotta make sure they do cause some willl not have them. paint will chip away at some point, ceramic coating will make them look nice for a while and it will also hold back alot of heat

NO, ceramic coating is not for bubbling paint...its to keep underhood temps down and to stay looking good instead of rusting eventually. THe coating is well worth the money.

Re: good headers?...

Having emissions hook ups do not make a header emissions legal. Just be careful if you have really strict testing over there in Illinois.

Re: good headers?...

Ceramic coating holds in heat, increasing the exhaust velocity, and as mentioned before, and possibly more important, reducing underhood temperatures.

Re: good headers?...

I just put them on my car, I didnt get the coating and im regretting my cheapness, instantly my header paint bubbled off even though i cured it as insturcted, then the header meteal got that purple burnt meteal look. I have to say though the under the hood temp actually droped a little from manifolds with uncoated headers....I dont know if this has to do with deleating the AIR/EGR or not, although the headers stay to hot to touch/work around for a good hour with the fans on.

Re: good headers?...

oh one other thing, the passenger side hole for AIR/EGR is threaded wrong and the hookup doesnt screw in, at least on mine anyway.
