Re: is this a good exhaust setup
It will flow ok since it is a bullet muffler and 3" piping, but not nearly as well as true duals.
I don't get why people invest in these single exhaust systems when they could go dual for just as cheap. (I got my dual setup for $110)
They flow so much better.

Re: is this a good exhaust setup
Having no cats will help you out with a few hp. Having stock manifolds will really hold you back. It is possible to pick up 25hp just by switching to longtube headers.
Re: is this a good exhaust setup
i know true duals are better but i dont know how to weld and it would cost about $300 and i need alot more things to do to my car and not alot of money to do it with
Re: is this a good exhaust setup
If that's the case, then put the little bit of money you have elsewhere. I guarantee you that exhaust setup you are wanting to get will cost you at least 100 bucks. Thats about the same as the dual exhaust setup I got.
If it comes down to it and you can't get duals, I would personally get a cold air intake system. That should net you about 10hp. It's just not logical to do something that you're going to have to go back over again. Like they say, measure twice, cut once. Or, if you're going to do it, do it right.
Also, the setup I got is slip fitted, so you could possibly hang it up yourself. My x-pipe bolted right up to my longtubes. The dual pipes then slip fitted right onto my x-pipe. From there, all I had to do was hang the mufflers up before the axle.

Re: is this a good exhaust setup
I'm simply saying, if you can find them for 100 bucks, then get them. If not, then get CAI. I guess if you're not looking for more power, get the setup you're referring to. That would make it sound different, but thats about it.
Re: is this a good exhaust setup
want cheap and want too change the sound, you sound like a good candidate for a cutout right before the exhaust goes up over the axle
cutout=$35
installation maybe..1hr= ~50$ maybe
problem solved, best of both worlds
or maybe an electric cutout
