good Catalatic converters out there??

I want to replace my old stock one cause oil got into it and it is starting to rattle alot so i need a good high flow state legal one. I was thinking of the random technology one but dam the price is 230 bucks from thunder racing. Anyone have any suggestions?

i know gutting your cat only yeilds a few horses, so i dont know how much a high flow would do.

I vote another stock used one

thats money better spent on rockers or a CAI

You might want to look at a Catco or Car Sound as a replacement. I would not waste my money on a Random Cat.

I think you can get the dynomax high flow for like $130 and its about the same as the random tech as far as I know.

Hey rotoruter i have to measure my pipes i think they are 3 in but dont quote me on that. As for replacing the cat with another stock cat maybe used how much would they run and how can i tell if they are in good shape and not clogged(sp?)?

stock y pipe's arent 3 inchs. Measured them awhile ago and i believe 1 side was 2 1/4 and the other was 2 inchs.

I am also curious about this, i have a stock one on there not and it is gutted and frankly it sounds aweful. My exhaust sounded BadAzz with i just had the Borla, headers, and UN-gutted Cat.. After i gutted it you can hear all the popping when i get off the throttle and the overall sound has changed alot. I need a Hi-Flo or a new Stock one. Is it worth buying a high flo? I have read it is, and now after reading this post i'm getting a different opinion.

IMHO if you have headers and a catback you almost have to go with a new y pipe, and thus high flow cats (or none) The stock pipe and cats are too restrictive. Just my opinion.
