Good-bye 383...hello 396 LT4!

Finally...after 2 months at the machine shop, I got my new 396 LT4 back! My Lingenfelter built 383 combo served me very well, but let's face it, a 383 is really a Mopar displacement of yester-years. Anyway, I can't wait to see what kind of rear wheel dyno numbers I get. As soon as I can decide which clutch I wanna go with, I'll be dropping it back in real soon. What kind of horsepower numbers are everyone else getting with their 396 combos? Here are a few pictures that I took with my Sprint PCS Sanyo SCP-5300 camera phone....pictures didn't come out too bad considering they came from a phone.

Yep...that's my little 86' Honda Accord. A lot of people that watched me take it out were amazed, I was shocked myself when I got it in there!

please stop whining its annoying...

I found it especially funny how you put that in the back of a Honda. That't the closest a Honda will get to a real engine....EVER!

That engine is a beautiful thing though, Your numbers will probably reflect . I hope everything works out for you, Good Luck!

So how much did you invest in the engine? I can't think of it any other way than expensive . Thats sort of along the lines of what I want to do with my 94 Z, but I want to keep my driveability. What are all the specs on it, you know the basics?

Boy... I need to change my user name to something starting with an "A" so that when someone posts at the same time as me, I get priority

Nah, that won't help, I posted a few seconds earlier than you did.
