Gonna install a shift light or tach/shift combo.....

How difficult is the installation of a shift light?? where is the best place to put it so it's not as blinding???

I mounted mine at the base of the A pillar with this plastic stuff that works like velcro but has a much stronger hold. That way I didn't have to drill any holes in the dash. I routed the wire down the side of the dash and in through the fuse box cover. I found 12v and ground in the wiring under the dash and went through the firewall for the tach.
It is really bright at night but in the daytime it's perfect. I wish they made them with a circuit that was wired to the dash lights so they could dim when the lights were on.

I used the same material as Bud M but I monuted my shift light on steering coulmn infront ofthe speedometer. Its not on the way of anything

I have a red LED hooked up to a msd rpm switch. The LED is between the 6 and the 7 in the tach.
